![]() Realistically, if one puts it into perspective this was not a huge item like, say, Aladdin, Little Mermaid, or other Disney classics so the lean-ness of the DVD is understandable.īottom line: if you have young children they will enjoy this movie AND it's one you will probably enjoy watching with them. I would say it's "better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick" for myself. Adaptation Displacement: Not everyone remembers the Disch book this was based on and even fewer are aware. Not much money was spent on it and it kind of shows. A page for describing YMMV: Brave Little Toaster. It's nice, but not very detailed or in depth. There is a bonus feature on the "making of" th is and the other two Toaster movies. It's a minor quibble on my part and does not distract from the program itself. I know it was most likely a choice made for monetary reasons, but I wish Disney would have fixed that. It still has the slight wiggling motion the original video had. The reason I give it just a "good" rating is for the quality of the program itself. When I first bought this for my son on tape years ago, he wanted to see it over and over - it was that appealing. Very good story with nice tunes from Van Dyke Parks. Even though it predates Toy Story it has the same premise from a certain point of view. ![]() This feature will have one thinking differently about one's appliances in the same way Toy Story made one think differently about toys. Great kids cartoon that adults can enjoy also. ![]()
